HAC4Pro on Linux
To better record my cycling activities, I bought myself a HAC4Pro cycling computer from CicloSport. Sadly the software to read out the cycling computer is only available for Windows... I love Linux thus I had a problem.
I started searching Internet and found out about the HAC4Linux project which aims to offer an interface to support cycling computers on Linux. Too bad that the project is more or less inactive, still it looked usable enough for me.
My conclusion as software developer? Time to write a driver for it myself. Of course this started with figuring out how the HAC4Pro stores its data, which worked out more or less in the end.
